Songwriting at SARC, March 16
Songwriters take note: the third Friday of every month, the Scugog Arts Resource Centre is holding Songwriting Evenings, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at 181 Perry St, Unit G-1, Port Perry. This month, the get-together is this Friday, March 16.
_Become part of the Songwriters Music Festival network by attending these informal sessions led by Ron Beer, founder of the Songwriters Music Festival. While sharing new songs and music skills, learn about audition and performance opportunities for local songwriters in Durham. The meetings are open to all aspiring and practising songwriters and give participants the ability to network, audition new work and learn the tricks of the trade. The evenings also include audition opportunities for upcoming Songwriter Music Festivals throughout Durham in June, July and August.
_Attendance is free, with a $5 donation suggested for non-members. Refreshments are provided.
_For more information on the SCA Songwriting Evenings and SCA membership, contact the SCA at www.scugogarts.ca or 905-982-2121.
_For more information on the Songwriters Music Festival, contact Ron Beer at www.songwritersmusicfestival.com or 905-668-2646.
